If he believes it, it'd be stupid to say someone else. The important part is where he talks about how he's not even close to where he wants to be. He still realizes he's got a long way to go in the much grander world that is basketball, and that's an incredibly encouraging attitude. I just pray he stays with us as he continues to go higher and higher.
Dude is just cold-blooded. Most of us piled on him for saying that in the off-season but he is proving it this season. He is almost Kobe-like in his belief in himself. I cannot imagine how he can get much better he seems to be getting better by the month so who knows what he is going to be next year and beyond. I'm still just enjoying watching a Rocket in God-mode. Very special player, special season.
There was a cool article in the past where Kobe said James Harden had the "It" factor in him. he also mentioned Westbrook in that sentence as well. Kobe for GM?
Is he having the best regular season so far? Yes. But c'mon, Lebron, Durant and Davis are scary good, especially Anthony Davis. Sorry but even if Harden score 35 a game, his past playoffs performance is too bitter to be wash away at this point.
And Davis's no playoff performances say what? If you're holding onto a few games to define Harden, that's silly.
That thread is a great read. People were so down on Harden, but his issue was focus, not talent. He got focused. Look at what we have now? A bonafide MVP. What does Cleveland have? A sulking, ill-fitted forward who is playing out of his comfort zone, is slipping further on defense, and has lost his knack for reboundin because he's being made into a stretch 4. I want Harden to be a Rocket for his whole career. He is a once-in-a-decade talent on the offensive end. And I'm not sure we've even seen his full potential yet.
You mean the ones where he dominated both Dallas and San Antonio in the play-offs to help propel OKC to the NBA championship series? Lets not act like Harden has never had success in the play-offs because that is just not true. Even Dream had multiple 1st round exits.
