As purposeful and intentional as this post is trying to be... I'LL TAKE IT!!! I still firmly believe that howard is a foundational piece. You switch Durant with some pieces last year and that team could have finished off those first two games at golden state last year. All hypothetical, but this expirament may still have some hypothesis left!
Maybe all for show, but I don't care if they are besties. The media is going to do whatever they can to trash their relationship. I like that they've both been professional on the court.
I never bought the narrative that they hate each other it's just another thing widely believed on this site with barely a shred of evidence.
Doesn't mean anything until Harden can get Howards FGA up. He needs to be a leader and get chemistry flowin on and off the court
I think one thing to remember with Howard is he gets intentionally fouled quite often when he goes up for a shot. Those are really FGA, but they don't technically get counted when he's fouled. Most teams would rather just put him on the free-throw line, preventing dunks, and shots around the basket. If you factor that in he really gets more than 8 FGA per game.
This is probably just to cool down all the negative talk but it can't hurt... The team needs to start gelling and a couple nights out together could build some chemistry.
The Suns' announcer was saying earlier that a stretch of road games could be good for a team like this bc they'll be forced to spend time with each other. Here's hoping.
..The Harden and the Howman should be FRIENDS OOoh the Harden and the Howman SHOULD BE FRIENDS! One man likes to push some jokes, the other likes to chase some hoes But that's NO reason why they CANT BE FRIENDS ! I have said before that I think Harden and Howard get along perfectly fine OFF court. They don't seem to have a lot of similar interests but they still get on just fine, there's heaps of videos etc. that show this. The issue has been the chemistry on court. Hopefully last game was a sign of things to come. Naturally, Harden isn't one to show open affection on the court or showboat with his teammates, which is why I think his body language and personality is misunderstood at times on court.
