That's really cool of Chris. He definitely did not need to do that, so that is incredibly kind of him to buy Gary a vehicle, even if it is chump change for him.

    That's a Mercedes SUV, btw.

Can you imagine the look CP3 will give Morey, if he trades Clark now.

Not just any SUV. It looks like a GLE 63S. Upwards of 100k

Are we going ignore Tilman is looking at Instagram like, "I freaking gave CP3 too much money!"

    CP3's liquidity at max levels.

Which is just .25% of Chris Paul's salary this year. It's like an average person making $50,000 a year buying a $125 gift for someone.

Well, with his tax bracket, paying state taxes when they play in certain states, agent fees, lawyers, etc, CP3 is lucky to get half of the money. Add on that his earning potential for that kind of money is short lived and.... never mind. Buying a car for anyone is incredibly generous.

From the Chron article, it looks like Gary was having problems getting a car for himself, so CP helped.

    https://www.chron.com/sports/rocket...Paul-surprises-rookie-Gary-Clark-13402052.php

Rockets rookie Gary Clark left practice on Friday, his 24th birthday, to find a new Mercedes GLE waiting for him, courtesy of – or at least with help from – Rockets guard Chris Paul. Clark said he does not yet know if he will be paying for his new ride or how much, but Paul had taken it upon himself without telling Clark to make the arrangements.

"He helped me get a car," Clark said. "He talked to my people and they figured it all out and all the logistics. He knew I was trying to get a car and get everything situated. He talked to my financial agent, my agent. They surprised me with it (Friday). They didn't keep me in the loop. I'm usually on top of everything. He played a big part helping my team get it."

Clark said he'll talk to his agent during the coming off days to find out what he is paying, but on Friday and Saturday, "They just wanted me to focus on the game."

Clark would earn up to $385,000 on his G League 2-way contract, though with his role in the Rockets' rotation, he is expected to surpass his 45-day limit on the deal, automatically converting it to a standard NBA contract.
