Take it for what it is but Craig ackerman said on sports radio 610 he believes he's not even close to being ready to play even as backup.
I dont think they even need to trade for Gortat. He is a FA and I dont see how Orlando can afford to keep him. They have about 70 million on the books for next year and thats with Hedo's salary as is and its likely he opts out and looks for more money. As for Hadadi, I would much rather try to land Marc Gasol if we make a trade with Memphis.

What? Lowry played in nearly every game for Memphis last season and all 82 in 2007-08. He's averaged over 23 minutes per game in his 3 year career. Legitimate reserve playing time. Plus, he started 21 games for Memphis which is a little less than half the games he played for them last season. Haddadi played in only 19 games, averaging only 6 minutes. Garbage time player. It's not the same. Lowry was a reserve in Memphis, he's a reserve here. Haddadi was a bench scrub in Memphis, he'd be a bench scrub here.
Haddadi looked good in limited minutes when I saw him play. He also looked like a foul-machine. But hopefully that disappears with experience..
well, considering memphis will probably draft Thabeet, they'll probably let Haddadi walk, along with mihm...we could try and pick either of them up for cheap.
Finally someone agrees with me, i said he would be a great back up like two weeks ago on the offseason trade thread, his stats this season were and this is going off of memory. 19 Games, 6 min, 2.5 pts, 2.5 rbd, .6 blks... and hes 7-2 plus hes 2 mil for three years, give them an expiring, preferably cook and were good to go
Wasn't Memphis kind of interested in Dorsey last summer? If the Rockets have soured on Dorsey, then maybe they can convince Memphis to swap Haddadi for Dorsey, one project for another. But it's a risk to assume that would solve our need for a solid backup big.
this is my logic. you must be good if you are considered to be the best player in a region. out of 460 million people living in the middle east he his numba uno.
If you are going to take a backup C from Memphis, here'a better bet. He sure brings a lot of passion for the game. That's nice, but he made those moves against Lebanon! A great country, with beautiful people and food, but not exactly a basketball powerhouse. Let's review some Memphis tape before we get all ga-ga over this guy.
