I know it seems far fetched but I would love to see Hakeem as coach of the Rockets, along with Sam Cassell and Mario Ellie as his assistants.

Everything the man touches turns to gold.

At very least he would bring a tough defensive mindset to the team, and make Thabeet a star:p.

Sam and Mario are doing well at their respective clubs and could add valuable game experience to our young squad.

    Thoughts?

Doubt Hakeem knows much about coaching a full roster... and besides he smells like **** in the locker room, not good for the young guys

I'm a strong supporter of Dikembe as coach, just to hear post game interviews.

Usually a solid role player makes better coaches than great players.

Great players have too high expectations for every player because they have the talent/work ethic to achieve that level, but fact is everyone doesn't.

Solid role players are usually players missing a great talent, but they have a great work ethic, so teaching players to have a great work ethic without getting frustrated that they aren't all superstars, make them great coaches.

Reason I believe a player like Battier would become an amazing head coach.

Olajuwon is rich, retired, & has no desire to work for anyone else but himself. Can't blame the guy, he's said a few times that he has no interest in coaching.

Rockets want MALONE (Scoop Du Jour)

Scoop Du Jour: Lock if Posted

Your Thoughts? A true report or is someone dropping hints that they want a top job?

    Woodson? I don't know...

BTW: I was never a big fan of Rick Adelman, but man you really don't know what you had until it's gone!

Time outs would be great. Seeing players scratch their heads and look puzzled is good clean fun.
