HAKEEM Autograph session today at Rockets team shop!

I would love to make it, can't.

I actually have an "Akeem" autograph I got years ago when I sat at a table next to Dream having dinner.

 

Can we bring in our own items to be signed?

 

Just got home way tired will let everybody know tomorrow about meeting Hakeem. It was awesome. Pics tomorrow.

Crap. I wonder if he would've signed some championship Sports Illustrateds? I would've driven down to Houston had I known about this earlier. ARRGGGHH.

 

There were probably Rockets reps there to enforce the rule that it had to be an item purchased at the rockets store or his clothing line, I was at a book signing at Target long time ago for Hakeem's book and they kicked out anyone in line that did not purchase the book at Target. But then at the end Hakeem said he'll sign anything and immediately a woman stopped that and ended the autograph session. Hakeem sheepishly laughed.

 

First I just wanted to say thank you to cuneo77 for posting the thread. Skip ahead if you want to just see the pics.

I saw this thread at 11:05 and was gone at 11:10. Got there with a couple of friends and waited a hour and half to buy what I thought was going to be a 30 dollar t-shirt and be home by 5.....it ended up with me spending 100 dollars and not coming home till 10:30

(60 dollars for a t-shirt is so damn crazy. Also had to a buy a damn ticket because this was never specified that I had to. So f****** mad about that I really wanted to just say forget it all and drive home. I think the only reason I stayed and bought tickets because I met Jack Sikma while I was going to my car. That guy was super nice and was really happy to sign my hat and chat a little bit about the Rockets.) end rant

Anyways here are the pics with Hakeem and I think this was the best way to end the year and since I'm moving to Austin Monday, this was the best goodbye present I could get from the Rockets.

^^^ you were the only one able to get a picture with him! AFter your photo, they said we couldn't take pics with him and i said HEYYYY, BUT THAT GUY DID!! haha

 

Yeah me and one of my friends got to take a picture with him. They wouldn't let my other friend take a photo though. I really think that was pretty sh**** of the Rockets organization to not let anybody take pictures with him. I mean we all payed for the ticket and the shirt. But it was all good at the end. Even got to exchange the t-shirt for other Rockets gear.

 

Can't we use our disabled player exception and sign the Dream to one season, 15 minutes a game? No back to backs, and he only travels when he wants to... If we were able to do that, the Rockets could sell out a lot of games...
