IMO all of the teams Dream beat in 95 were better than any of the teams from the 94 run, and all of the teams Dream faced (except Portland) were better than any of the teams Harden has faced except GS. I think the Warriors featuring KD were better than any of Dreams opponents. It's impossible to compare eras, but relative to the rest of the league at the time, I think the 65 win team is the greatest Rocket team of all time.
different reasons. contract extension solved his problem. apparently contract extension isn't solving harden's.
I remember Hakeem partying in Vegas during a pandemic and missing the first week of training camp because of said parties. Sometimes it's HOW a player holds out and for what reasons that makes all the difference in terms of perception. Harden is doing it in the worst way imaginable.
Oh really? Hakeem was alive during the Spanish Flu and was visiting bordello's??? Move your white knighting down a few posts.
but that's what happened, Hakeem did sign an extension, then Thomas sold the team so it was on Les to pay him. Sort of what happened when Les signed Chris Paul then sold the team to Tilman.
https://www.sbnation.com/secret-base/21552675/hakeem-olajuwon-houston-rockets-feud-beef-history First, owner Charlie Thomas and GM Steve Patterson refused to negotiate with him. Then Olajuwon strained his hamstring, and the Rockets brass was like “Oh yeah right, you’re not hurt, you’re just refusing to play until we negotiate your contract.” They suspended Olajuwon and took to the press with their fake-injury allegations. The 92-93 season rolled around and Hakeem did not get traded, though he did eventually land a contract on par with David Robinson and Patrick Ewing. Despite the ugly months, Hakeem managed to find happiness with Houston, it helped that ownership and GMs changed. He even went on to win a couple rings with the Rockets.
Actually it was close, it was a dispute with the front office a matter of respect. Seems a bit related....no? DD
If you put the team's head to head...the 90s Rockets would dominate IMO. Dream would feast no matter who you put on him. You double him & he hits the open man for 3. As much as I love Harden & will defend him til the bitter end, I can see Mad Max getting in his head & Harden struggling. Plus....Dont ever underestimate the heart of a champion.
Clutchfans was named after Clutch City Clutch City were the teams that Hakeem Olajuwon led to eternal glory for the true fans of the Houston Rockets Therefore Dream is forever
