You're correct, I was throwing out so many twos through that first sentence that I forgot to put second instead of first.

It is a small sample size and he has been in and out of the line up, plus the quality of play around him has been poor and he has had to play more minutes. I haven't seen anything from him that makes me believe the bottom is dropping out on him. His age and injury situation has been known, and quite frankly the Rockets have done a TERRIBLE job this season preserving Paul and Harden and Tucker.

Paul is playing over 34 minutes a game, PJ Tucker is playing almost 36 minutes a game and James Harden is playing 37 minutes a game....... that is all a result of terrible depth.

 

Yes a few of them have been made available in the trade market. Other ones have not.

I don't think there is much available outside of the NBA right now.

I hope that the Rockets attempt to get Tony Parker. He has a $5,000,000 contract next year that his employer may try to move on from. Perhaps Chriss and another piece. Parker would be able to start on occasion and give solid back up minutes. The Rockets could spread the 96 minutes in the back court out well between Paul/Harden/Gordon and Parker.

Agreed, you did a better job of articulating what I was getting at in #3.

 

100% agree. Chris Paul's impact is a fraction of what it was last year. He's not as good defensively, he's far worse offensively in terms of efficiency, volume, and running the entire offense. Some of it is due to the fact that the roster is hot garbage, but a lot of it is on Paul.

Not good because he has a limited shelf-life at this point. I don't think this is the cliff, but the cliff is coming (no State Farm pun intended)

 

the truth is we want to get better the cost to do so is out of our price range at the moment. teams with quality players are all in contention for the playoffs with the nba not being so top heavy this year.

the rockets put it all on this season and last. paul, melo, mcw, and the young guys. we do not have quality rotation players producing.

morey is the reason we rebuilt without tanking. he is an amazing gm, best in the league. we lost tracy, yao, and dwight and never finished a season below 500.

 

I would be very pleased with this. Parker can still play the D. Rose role. Will they agree to it?
