    and Kyrie does?
His team is 2-8, his numbers are heavily inflated by extremely high usage rate, he has one of the worst AST/TO ratio among starting PG.

Yea sure he's talented, but how talented is he really? Padding stats on a bad team? Remember the first year John Wall averaged 16.5/8.3, have a look where he is now.

Btw Kyrie is averaging 4.1 TO a game.

    Kyrie is constantly hurt.

I know people love his game, it's flashy and fun to watch though.

Yeah that is really true. Kyrie is incredibly unlucky when it comes to injuries. Kyle Lowry is kind of the same as well. He also gets hurt a lot as well. Both are great players though.

I like Greg as a backup to Omer and Cole. He reminds me a bit of Chuck Hayes because he refuses to take bad shots. Going back to preseason, Smith has hit an astounding 25 of 30 shots from the field on the year. That's a FG% of 83.3. Sure, the sample size is small, but it's still 10 games in which he's playing about 13 minutes a game. I also like that he takes it to the rim with some authority. Can't ask for much more from your third-string center.

(Omer takes pretty good shots, too -- he just misses most of 'em.)

Greg Smith is raw potential waiting to be tapped (pause)

Personally, I think Greg Smith is doing good, but to say he is the best in the team... Well... It just shows how great the "advanced" NBA stats is.

Besides Derrick Rose, there is no point guard in the NBA that by himself and a strong supporting staff can create a contender. Lowry is definitely a top 10 point guard in the NBA. I am glad we traded him since I do not think we get Harden without trading Lowry. But God, I miss him.

This somehow turned into a Lowry thread.... Regarding Greg Smith's PER.... Carl Landry also had a high PER with limited minutes. And then he became the first player of the bench.

So much stupidity just on the first page.

Thanks, JCDenton and Rafi for the laughs.

You would take lowry of Deron Eilliams?. Toronto would trade their left nut nd Lowry idf it meant they could get Williams.
