If this guy goes to Miami or Houston next season would he have a similar following as Lin? Dude is quietly putting together a strong season. He's young & Venezuelan. What ya'll think? I would take him in Houston over Lin. When I first saw him in Memphis his rookie year I didn't think he belonged in the NBA. But he's really improved a great deal.
Thank god the Grizzlies traded him. I don't know if I could have a handled a "Greivis Vasquez is about to show the world he's on John Stockton's level" thread from what.
Not that I have a vote or say but I'd consider him for MIP. And yeah, I'd obviously take him on my team.
Don't need. We got South America covered with Delfino. As such, we should keep Patrick Beverley for his appeal to black Americans.
I'll be taking you up on that offer. LOF's have been pissing me off, need to cool off steam somewhere.
you're really underestimating lin's following. have you seen the videos from when he visited china? they treat him like the beatles. when we played golden state the crowd cheers as loudly for lin as they do for the warriors. in almost every arena the rocket's visit there are people wearing lin jerseys i understand you're trying to make a comparison, but it's a real stretch
If he goes to Miami he'll run the offense as much as Chalmers runs the offense, which is zero. If he goes to Houston he'll go from a team that runs 30% pnr to a team that runs 15% pnr, over half of which go to Harden. Basically he'll look like garbage
NBA PG is the new NCAA QB. You put a guy in the right system and he lights up the stat sheet. One minute Aaron Brooks is averaging 20ppg in Adelman's system, the next day he's in China. Raymond Felton goes nuts in NY, does nothing in Portland. Darren Collison steps in for Chris Paul, looks amazing, remains mediocre for other teams. Lin/Dragic/Lowry - all look a bit worse on paper in new systems. The list goes on, and on, and on. Unless you're watching these guys play closely there's no way to tell who's actually good anymore. With that said, I think Vasquez is pretty good.
