Those aren't good shots though. Shots at the rim that leads to FT's or 3's. That is what the Rockets are trying to emphasize. I agree with durvassa. He shouldn't start because of spacing issues but he is our back up 5 & a damn good one.
Nice duo there at center. Why screw it up? Asik/Smith means we would have the advantage at the 5 most nights.
No. We shouldn't make a reactionary move based on one game. I have seen improvement in 2PAT the last few games. All the starters played like **** tonite. Shouldn't hold it against him
It is hard to believe that G.Smith will be the longest tenure Rockets (including Vipers), if not for Patterson. They should really try inserting him more, they kept him this long, there must be something to him. He is shooting 58% from the floor and 80% on FTs for the year. Those stats, how come he isn't playing more?!?!?!?
While we're at it, how about using Douglas as the starting 1? He top scored against the Lakers you know.
Dude, it wasn't like Greg Smith post up Howard one on one and going at it. He was left wide open for dunk and layups...does that make him a special player?? Nope. Any player can do what he does...with the athleticism. Give him credit for making shots along w/ Tony Douglas and Delfino. They were left wide open for shots. It is the offense sets and coaching that should be getting the credit. IT makes it easier on the players. Our starters struggled and the bench play well. Give them credits.
HELL NO do u understand bball what a knee jerk piece of crap thread , patterson spreads the floor for harden to work his magic , smith is a gd backup stop making these stupid articles cuz of one game good god
I do, and my point still stands. If Smith shoots as well as Patterson we have a whole new dimension on offense.
Motiejunas should get some time; Morris has been awful. And DMo probably would have made Antwan "Worst Defender in the Association" Jamison work a little harder than he had to tonight.
