Greene/Dorsey Press Conference

Now is Greene a PF/SF hybrid or straight PF?

 

what makes him better is his ability to knock down long jumpers so I wouldn't be scared of putting him at SF - Shane's (if we don't trade him) backup

If anything he's more of straight SF. I don't see him playing PF much unless we decided to go small.

Because of injuries, SU went small, playing Donte at the 4. He is an NBA 3 though, who can switch up and spread the floor at the 4.

This was definitely a good Rockets draft, and I hope Greene and Dorsey can help out right away.

 

What kind of a contract is Dorsey going to get......the max 3 years like Novak got?

I'm assuming there must already be some verbal agreement in place for them to have already introduced him with a Rockets jersey at a press conf...

 

I think everyone gets presented a jersey at the press conferance.

Thanks clutch. The new guys looked very promising players and the press conference was great. I can't wait to see them play along with the existing ones.

 

2 years is the max for minimum salaries. Novak got 3 years because CD used part of the MLE/LLE to sign him.

 

Dorsey, Dorsey, Dorsey. I have a feeling we're all gonna love this kid; but Greene just sorta sat there and said nothing. Or we didn't focus on him at all.

If he turns out to be a great player, OK, wonderful. I want to see how quickly he gets signed. I don't think it's gonna happen, but I won't faint if he's included in a deal that nets us a veteran 2/3. Miller? Artest?

Granted, I'd love it if he turns out to be our (non-pot-smoking) Josh Howard. Maybe Greene and Dorsey together at the same conference is like putting big brother with little brother and big brother has the confidence and personality; he blocks out the sun, the other is quiet and content.

Time will tell.
