Yeah, I know. I was just goofin' around, I have a table top football game with the 1939 season when both played for GB. Those Packer teams also had HOFers WR Don Hutson, RB Clarke Hinkle, and legendary coach Curly Lambeau. Both Isbell anf Herber played for Green Bay frOm 1938-40. Isbell was coming into the league just as Herber's career was on the downside. Of course, passing was a lot more difficult back in those days with low completion percentages and low TD to INT ratios. And the players had to play both offense and defense too. It looks like Isbell led the NFL in passing yardage in 41 and 42. His best year was 1942, and that was also his last year. I wonder if WWII might have ahd something to do with that.
