I think my logic that Trump is a disaster is fairly sound and by no means unique...but when Trump is sworn in in 2017 you can triumphantly bump this thread....but more likely he won't, you will be the same silly crank and I won't bother.

This is what I don't understand about this silly "establishment vs non-establishment" rhetoric. Talk radio boobs around the country are ANGRY!!!!11 with "the establishment" Republicans for not doing enough to stop Obama.

What the hell else were they supposed to do?

 

Shut down the government until Obama cave.

Let the government default on it's obligations until Obama cave.

Those type of extreme irresponsible actions.

 

And for what? The country is cruising along pretty well.

 

Lower taxes for everyone but moreso for the rich and whatever loophole/shelter/offshore account they can keep alive.

All this fake libertarian/randian go **** yourself mantra pretty much boils into that and it's supporters. Less "government involvement" by abolishing ACA but raise pitchforks over keeping and expanding Medicare and Medicaid? Bull**** slop.

Master gets the prime rib and their dogs get the scraps. Feed the "lesser animals" the scraps, and it's time for the dogs to bite

 

Both parties have taken part in playing world police.

The whole tax thing is a money grab by the wealthy while sapping the government dry of social services funding, which also erodes tangible evidence of when the government is useful.

I don't mind cutting waste, but some of the budget plans GOP frontrunners are proposing aren't even hiding the benefits and entitlements to the extremely wealthy while saddling the public with even more debt.

 

The natural state of humanity is very much feudal. We are just going back in that direction, with Republicans leading the charge. In some sense, they have humanity figured out much better than Democrats do. All this hope and aspirational, cooperational nonsense has misled so many people, myself included.

I think I'll change my party affiliation in time for the CA primary. Not sure if kidding.

 

Nothing can stop the GOP. Not even this. The Dems are in a weak position if they can't capitalize off of this.
