KD for sure. Grant Hill was one of the first do-it-all swingmen - a 6'8 athletic specimen who could ball from the perimeter. KD is a step up from that - a 6'11 all-time great shooter/scorer who is still developing. The answer has to be KD.

Hill was a damn good player when he was healthy.

That said I would go with Durant.

Durant, easily, on both ends. Durant was better before his MVP season.

Kevin Durant won a deserving MVP over Lebron. Come on this isn't even close.

Kevin Durant. I say that somewhat reluctantly, because I liked Grant Hill's game ten times better. I could watch his old highlights for hours. But Durant's sheer scoring dominance outweighs Hill's much better versatility.

Grant Hill was my first favorite NBA player. Yes, even during the days of Hakeem on the Rockets (forgive me, I was 5). I loved everything about him and I still do.

    But the answer is Durant.

Grant was a hall of famer and very versatile, but Durant is one of a kind.

I'm a big fan of Grant Hill, and I don't really like Durant, but Durant is better.

Why isn't Rudy Gay in this discussion, given the OP's posting history?

Hill was a great all around player but longevity has to be a factor. If Durant had a career ending injury next year it would be close but I'd still go with Kevin. He may not be as well rounded but he's on the next level offensively.

I did love watching Hill in his prime though. Another "what if" case of injuries.

KD and its not really that close. Did Hill even get out of the first round?

Come on.....Grant Hill was great pre injury. I mean really great. The smoothness to his game reminded me a bit of Dr. J and his open court abilities reminded me of Clyde Drexler...but let's be real here. Grant Hill was always a sub-par 3 point shooter and never carried a team anywhere.

    KD every day>>Grant Hill

Grant Hill would have been better served in the Pippen role had he stayed healthy. The robin to Tracy's batman. KD is batman.

I think what's hard about the comparison isn't that KD's career is still ongoing, but that Grant Hill started with injuries before he had a chance to peak. Maybe Durant will end up the greater player in real life because of how things actually shook out for Hill. Without the injuries though, Hill (and the Magic and McGrady) would have dominated the NBA for years.

Grant Hill was healthy until he was 27/28. KD is only 26. I think without a doubt if you stack up their resumes to this point in their respective careers any sane person would say KD is the better player.
