He doesn't make much money? Really? There are a lot of people who are better than him that we could have signed for the same or less.

I wouldn't be surprised if that happened...

Could we just put Gortat and Asik in the PF/C position together. It's like a freaking Poland/Turkey twin tower.

And a future second round pick. The Suns will jump at it.

I don't know how the Rockets could solve his problems of not being a post option.

You'll notice Houston's expectations for their bigs is that they set screens, defend the paint, rebound, and maybe once in a while get a basket or two from a pick N roll cut or a putback.

Actually in a greater sense, which teams *would* be willing to feature Gortat in their offense? Orlando, where he already owns a home a former player?

Maybe a team like Cleveland, which has little in the way of frontcourt talent after Sideshow Bob?

Weird how small moves like that help out in the long run.

He said the ball "sticks" to one player (who could that be?)

Then he sighed when he saw Steve Nash, and I don't think it's because he looks dreamy.

Shannon Brown has been their best offensive weapon and he plays in "Kobe mode".

Can't let an obvious pun opportunity go to waste. :)

BTW, Asik hasn't really been all that foul prone-- 2.9 PFs in 33 MPG is pretty good.

Haha touche Clutch.... what I mean is that I see a lot of instability right now, and many parts thrown together at the last minute... you will not win right away like that, and Morey has to know that.... this is not a finished product.

Lin, Asik and Harden are all new. Harden didn't even have a training camp. The team has gone from McHale to Sampson with mixed results.... Lin does not seem to know what he is supposed to do on offense... this is the first time Harden has been a #1 option. This is the first time that Asik has been a starter getting 30-35 minutes a game.... the point guard rotation is a mess... the power forward situation is clearly fluid..... and there are rookies getting no real time...... last, you have the coaching situation.

The Rockets know that they are not going to be a great team right now...

Beasley is also a relentless ball stopper and bad shot chucker. I wouldn't be surprised if he has beef with both.

I always thought Gortat was content to just be a role player in Phoenix--albeit an excellent one. 10 / 10 with a few blocks. Pretty sound for a center.

Turns out nothing could be further from the truth. He wants to be the man so badly.

Sounds like he's just mad because his boy Steve Nash isn't setting him up anymore.

Not really. Without him, we would have lost a couple more games which would have given us the 12th pick or higher.

I think $ for $ asik is a better fit long term. I'm not opposed to getting Gortat and flipping him for an all star PF. Too bad they don't grow on trees.
