http://probasketballtalk.nbcsports....eres-only-one-ball-and-were-all-point-guards/ Sounds a little frustrated? Morey always seems to have a soft spot for ex Rockets, this is a player who I would love on the current team. Could he be available? What would it take? If this belongs in Fantasyland crazytalk sub-forum please feel free to move.
Of course! But there would be a bidding war. With all these guys, it's probably a case of the asking price being too high or Morey's offer being too low.
Phoenix has guards....we have forwards. You'd like to think we could get a deal done. Really, we all need to be cheering for Atlanta and Phoenix to have down years.
If this goes on, I'd expect them to move Thomas. They need Dragic and Bledsoe's defense more than they need Thomas's scoring, and he's on a very good value contract. They can probably flip him for some frontcourt help.
They're going to have to pay for that luxury... I would think Dragic and his agent will be asking for max or near it, regardless of his numbers this season. They will base it on last year's numbers.
Dragic is missing Frye as a stretch 5 too. With the trade deadline dreams of Millsap pretty much garroted and laid to rest in a bog for a thousand years. At least there's this glimmer of hope... <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/KX5jNnDMfxA?rel=0&showinfo=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Morey does rentals. Artest on his expiring contract was traded for for that year's lottery pick in Donte Greene.
NOP pick for dragic into the trade exception at the deadline as a rental. Jones/Johnson/2nd to Toronto for 2pats. Dragic Harden Ariza Patterson Dwight
Agree 100%. We have the cap room to offer Dragic max money in the offseason, or an extension. We could easily flip a forward or two as well
There also will be a number of teams with cap space that will ultimately decide players like K. Leonard and G. Dragic are worth it.
