There are reasons why Jeremy's annual salary is a million dollars more than Dragic's. Lin is the better player now and has more potential because he is younger.
Dragic showing that he's a damn good PG. Sadly, his price tag was unreasonable so I don't blame Morey for letting him go.
His price tag was to the dot for his calibur. It was cheap even. Morey not giving the player option just sounds like a cop-out to go after Lin. I would've gone for Dragic, honestly.
Lin: 25/3 = 8,3 per year Dragic: 30/4 = 7,5 per year He does get extra million, if he gets on the all star team, but that is not likely in the next couple of years - Westbrook, Parker, Nash, Kobe, Cp3, Harden ... Just not alot of room at guard spot out there. It was supposedly about the player option, which is ridiculous, imo. Barring serious injury he'll outperform the contract anyway.

The reason Lin got the extra million i think is cause there were NO OTHER EFFING POINTGUARDS LEFT!!! They had to choose between lowry and mchale, and they chose mchale obviously. Lin is getting paid to be devin harris. Have a look at his numbers so far this year and tbh lin looks like a bargain.
