Dragic is still a very good pg, but he is nowhere near a max player. Enjoy fishing, at least you are close to the water.
Goran Dragic will exercise the free agency clause in his contract, but said he'd prefer to stay with the Heat. http://heatzone.blog.palmbeachpost.com/2015/04/15/dragic-still-wants-to-stay-with-heat/

I hope he doesn't come to houston I don't like him or his attitude for some reason. He has a big head
L.O.L. Thats all...The Miami franchise is doomed for the forseeable future if Dragic truly does leave...
Does Miami own his bird rights? If not, big gamble by them. But then again the PG spot is so saturated in this league, there are only a handful of teams that are prioritizing a PG this summer. Ironically Rockets are one of them, but I don't think Dragic would play for us given his team list during the trade deadline. I can foresee both the Lakers and Miami offering Dragic the max, maybe Utah as well if they have the cap space.
Do you guys think Miami will offer him max money? remember this is the same Pat Riley that was low balling Bosh at first.
Exactly what he'll be in Miami. Granted the picks are 3-5-7 years out but yes. Don't give up two first rounders for a guy that you don't intend to re-sign.

Goran Dragic says the extra year the Heat can offer is important for free agency. Paying Dragic the max this summer means you'll be paying him 3 or 4 seasons of 75%-80% of the max. I am positive Miami will offer him 5 seasons for the full max pre-CBA salary structure. Wade is on his last legs, Deng is old. They only have Whiteside on the cheap for one more year, so re-signing Dragic is an easy choice. Personally I'd be happy paying Dragic the max to come to Houston, but I don't want any player who doesn't want us so that's the dealbreaker here.
Because he's an arrogant SOB who thinks he's worth the max(he's worth maybe half that), has been in the playoffs only once in 8 seasons(and that was as a backup to Nash), and publicly said he didn't wanna be here. Let him be someone else's headcase. We do need a point guard, but I'd prefer someone cheaper and who's less selfish. Yes I do. Riley gave up too much to let Dragic walk for nothing. But he also can't risk offending him and his agent by lowballing him with the initial offer. He'll get either the max or damn close to it. And Miami will be relegated to mediocrity for years to come.
