It's the same damn "culture war" issues again-- immigrants making life worse, welfare queen taking my money, gays destroying families, abortion, blah blah blah... I don't actually think it's a wise thing to do. For example, while Jan Brewer might gain popularity scaring people about immigrants in Arizona (cuz it's Arizona), trying to do in other states won't do any favors for the GOP's 2012 chances. Also, if the economy does show some improvement by then, it'll be hard for the party that spend most its time working on fighting the culture war to get credit.
