well, keep in mind that real estate is basically the anchor of American net worth and inheritances. I'd give in a few years more given how subprime mortgages chased after "mud people" deprived of good housing.
Again, not a double standard. When for 400 years your race has been repeatedly put down as the inferior race, rationally, there would be a push back and that push back is in the form of 'black pride'. Deal with it. You expect a bunch of people stating that their genes are inferior to not push back at all? Seriously? Do you actually seriously believe there would be no push back? Be honest.
NOW we're talking. Hattip to you good sir. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/n4vdfugMFbg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Are you a SJW bro? Why do you care what terms people use? That's what this thread sounds like, the term "Black Pride" offends you and angers you and gets you in a very whiny mood.
I don't see it as slight, and any PERSON overcoming discriminations and hardships should be proud of what they have overcome.
Jcee wants to live in a world where people can say Black genes are inferior and enact polices based on that premise with no push back from Black people.
blacks would be in africa. i dont understand what ya'll want. white people abolished slavery themselves... it wasn't forced by any other race. You want equality but you also want the last word.
And that's where it comes from. Years and years of exactly that, of being told you are inferior, ugly, and stupid. Personally, I don't know why some people are ashamed of the history of discrimination and slavery in the USA. They always say "Well why bring it up? I had nothing to do with it!" correct, so why are you defending it or trying to make it disappear? I think it's that primal tick in certain people's mind I guess that they associate themselves not only with the success of say Sir Isaac Newton but also with the ills of a plantation owner. I've always felt that true "White Guilt" came more from racists than white people who realize the actual recent past of it and its obvious effects. While I agree with Falcons idea. In a perfect world people don't recognize race. I just don't think we are there yet for a bevy of reasons.
I'll be honest, I know there will be pushback, and it will continue until someone pulls that crutch of reparations and years and years of hardship away. I would hope that mature and intelligent people would stand up and say enough is enough and let's put our past behind us so we can build a culture where people matter and not color. As long as this color war is going on, this country is not going to heal. It's just going to keep going back and forth.
It won't work. Why wouldn't you want your race to succeed? That goes against nature and common sense. That's the reason homogeneous nations have been the norm throughout history.
1. So should Irish put their past behind them not celebrate Irish pride or St. Patrick's day because they past is the past? 2. Oppression and discrimination helped people that were discriminated against create a culture which has largely been adopted and sometimes adapted by the mainstream. Should that culture not be proud of what they've done and celebrate it? Shouldn't all of the cultures that make up this country also celebrate that? 3. Why is it that some whites are put off by blacks celebrating their particular contributions to culture? I honestly don't know why it's a problem at all. It seems like something everyone regardless of race should celebrate and appreciate.
it won't last long. socialism and communism don't work. google had that doodle up for only north america... I went with a few proxies. No doodle.
Irish is not a race. Absolutely ALL cultures should celebrate what they've overcome, and no more than other cultures. Their particular contribution? Are you speaking of the contribution of the race or the contribution of an individual?
Please, race is a complete social fabrication. You know what would be ludicrous is if instead of using a person's skin color to determine race, we used a person's hair color. There would be a blonde race, a brunette race, and a red race. Then there would be blonde supremacist groups, saying reds are inferior to them. This is how ridiculous racism is, it's based off of an arbitrary determination.
