I take no comfort in this game. This was not a choke. This was KD stepping up and the Warriors tightening their D. A preview of what we can expect in the final 5 minutes.
Spurs didn't double KD and let him score 16 straight points on Kyle Anderson. Tony, Manu where on the bench. Danny Green, Spurs best defender, was off guarding no one. GSW shot 27% from 3. it was a deliberate choke by Pops.
Did you see the wholes Durant had after pick and rolls? LOL Pop too arrogant to get his players to switch on all screens and Durant just took him to the cleaners ala Harden.
The Spurs weren't at full strength and the Warriors only survived because KD took over. GS is looking vulnerable.
This game and the game against the crappy Nets only makes me feel more confident about Houston's chances. We actually match up where those previous teams do not against the Warriors. Lack of focus my ass..there's more going on in Warrior land than they're letting on.
Pop didn't coach to win this game tonight. Allowed Durant to roam free and easy in the 4th with no resistance when the rest of the Warriors were doing next to nothing.
I honestly think a healthy Kawhi Leonard would provide a bigger impact for the Spurs than our wing defenders do for us. He's that good of a defender. But with that being said, we're still alot better than the Spurs when Kawhi is healthy.

(AP) Steve Kerr chuckled not about Stephen Curry's latest ankle trouble but just how good the Golden State Warriors can be without their two-time MVP. ''We still have three All-Stars when Steph goes down,'' Kerr said. ''We still have a lot of talent.''
You're not wrong but while I was watching I kept thinking how the Spurs on the court couldn't spread the floor at all and that made them super easy to defend. It made the Warios look quicker and longer than they actually are. Average dribble penetrators surrounded by guys who can't spread the floor and option 1 is to drop it into the post?!?! It's no wonder they couldn't do it without a deflection or a face super quick double team.
Yeah, the Warriors' post defense was strong, even with Aldridge shooting well. Made me glad we don't rely on that.
Man spurs blew it late in the 4th. gS was going to lose that if the spurs at least score one in the last 3 minutes. Pop did a horrible job of subbing. Anderson turned It over too and LA was being triple or double cover. Can’t believe pop didn’t draw a play he just let them play. And he had 2 time outs left with 3 minutes to go. They kept shooting terrible shots after terrible possessions. I don’t know his name. The tall fur with red hair. He was shooting well and he only got back in till there was 2 seconds left for the last 3 pt attempt which he didn’t even shoot. Bad bad. The way they are playing looks like the spurs won’t make it to the playoffs.
