Most of the prediction websites predict 86-87 wins as the cut off for the last WC spot, and they tend to give it to Seattle with Baltimore right there as well. That is only 23 wins. I would say that is totally achievable, but we have to at least play the Rangers even for the rest of the season. Other than the Cubs series, none of the other teams are "worrisome".
We have won three series in a row. 7 of our last 8. Bregmen is going to be better than Springer. 3 YOUNG superstars are in our everyday lineup, and we have another 3 players that are all-stars. 2 games out of the wildcats now!!! Here we come

We did all of this with Altuve essentially in a slump this last week. So my confidence level in the lineup is very high now. It's the starting pitching that has to at least remain average, and then we close with a great pen and defense. We can do it. This is a playoff caliber team having 3 of 4 areas grading at an A for me.
We need that the young Guys who figure into the secondary core get those crucial at bats (first core is Altuve, Correa, and Springer). And if it we can stay in this wildcard race, awesome. Being 2 games out of the wild card is very cool. Bregman and Gurriel appear to be legit additions to a core. Hernandez and Reed need more at bats but look promising..
I agree. We have to win this series starting tonight. It would be great to sweep the A's. The schedule gets tough here soon. We need to continue to win series after series.
Not enough, we should have won 10 of 10. We need to play with a sense of urgency if we are gonna make up this insurmountable 2 game deficit. The slump put us in a less than ideal scenario, and basically killed our division hopes. But we realistically are still completely in control of our postseason, and possible WS hopes. If we play well to close out the year, we will be in the playoffs. If we play average ball, we won't. It's pretty simple. I'd say we have to play .600 or so ball, which would get us around 87-88 wins. Again not ideal, but hardly an epic task.
The way season is going rangers could get 1st seed. If astros win wildcard and win wildcard game and advance. We wold face the rangers in the first round. And way they have dominated us that would not be favorite to us. But guess it beats missing the playoffs.
We are never going to win 10 in the row for the most part. 9 of 11 is a pace that easily gets you into the playoffs and if we keep this pace, Vegas will have us as one of the favorites to win it all
