Well orders have been arriving and I see them selling them at the local Wal-Marts for the past several weekends. I grabbed two boxes of Samoas today and my girlfriend brought home 2 boxes of Trefoils, a box of Thin Mints, and a box of Dosi-Dos. What kind have you all bought? BTW, I didn't know these things were this loaded with calories. Two Samoas have 150 calories. These things are a little bigger than a quarter and about half an inch thick. I can't believe two of them pack this many calories. Damn!!!
Apparently, I'm the only person in the whole damn country that doesn't like these things. They're boxed cookies. Not homemade. They require milk dunkage - which, when carried out, puts them on the same level with anything else on the stoner aisle. Basically, Nabisco makes the same stuff for less than half the price. If I want something "better" than that, I'll bake my own. To continue my rant, I think I actually hate Girl Scout cookies. At least the total package. Every time I go to Walgreens lately, I'm having to turn down some poor little girl that's out there begging for money in the cold.
That's all I needed to here. I'm sticking with the overpriced/half the quantity organic chocolate chip cookies from Central Market.
I love GS cookies. I hated selling them though. My favs are the carmel delights (I think there the same as samoas) and peanut butter patties. My mom just sent me some cuz my sisters still sell them.
i prefer the Samoas, but have a hard time paying 4 bucks for such a small package of cookies. I might buy one box of them. You know, someone told me the local troop of girl scouts only makes 30 cents off of each box sold . . .
