    Just some wild speculation.

When the Rockets traded for Martin it was reportedly their second attempt. The Rockets had inquired about Martin near the previous trade deadline.

If the Rockets don't suffer a collapse in the next 14 days. Perhaps another rewind trade is on the cards?

I would love G. Wallace as our starting SF ... he is an upgrade, no doubt.

No thanks, the guy is old and overpaid. Rockets have some good young SF in Parsons, Budinger and Morris, and they need to continue with their development.

Wrong SF. Go after Batum. See if they would do Scola for Batum.

Would rather take Batum than Wallace. Wallace is a defensive beast though.

Are you serious? The article clearly states they want to keep Batum as a building block. So why in the world would they trade Batum for Scola when they already have Aldridge who is a better PF than Scola.

Scola for Batum ahaha. That has to be the dumbest trade idea in a while. They value Batum higher than Wallace and already have Aldridge, Scola is a piece of trash to them and compared to the upside of Batum.

I want Batum, if only so he won't have career nights almost every time he plays us.

    So, would you do - - if either/both team(s) - - Wallace/Felton for Lowry/Bud?

    I think I just might.

GWall has a player option for next season. So he could be a half season rental or only on the books for one more season.

It gets interesting if the Blazers fall out of the playoffs picture. Especially if they value cap space, and want to build around Aldridge and Batum. The Rockets have the young prospects with expiring contracrs to they might want to have a closer look at/try for fit.

Gerald Wallace is consistently dominant on the defensive end of the court every single night, and he hits the boards like a monster.

His offense is just a bonus.

    1. Kyle Lowry
    2. Kevin Martin
    3. Gerald Wallace
    4. Luis Scola
    5. Samuel Dalembert

Would make for an extremely entertaining playoffs. It would be even better If we could snag a better C. (I want Al Jefferson)

They could really use Dragic. Felton has been miserable and Crawford is better suited as a 6th man. They could see Dragic as a longterm option with Batum/Aldridge.

I thought I read earlier this year that G Wall plans to retire at the end of this season?

Wallace is very consistent, on defense. He's about to be 30 though and rely's on athleticism so if we were to acquire him we would need to be winning now, he will fall of similarly like battier did in about a couple of years. He couldn't be our only acquisition, we would also need to pick up a upper tier big IMO...such as jefferson or gasol.

    Your handle says it all.

I would love G-Force to solidify the defense, but it would probably cost us another starter for the trade to go down.

Maybe Scola for Wallace but I doubt they slide Aldridge to the 5 and start Scola at the 4. Their defense would definitely struggle in that scenario.
