Warriors for the past 3 years during the playoffs pick out your poorest 3-point shooters and leave
them open while keeping the best perimeter shooter is covered as a means of doing the time tested
pack the paint help defense known to happen in the playoffs. This is how the Warriors protect Curry
and try to keep in him fresh for the fourth quarters.

So Harden gets his double-triple coverage as he drives in the paint while Ariza was covered tight.
Or Dwight Howard had the defense collapse on him in the Post Up while Ariza was closely guarded
on the perimeter and Harden/Bev so-so guarded. Results in Mucho turnovers for Harden. Dwight
didn’t want to run PnR after hyper extending knee in game 1 of WCF vs GSW. (14/15 to 15/16)

Same mentality without D12 by Spurs; “swarm” the paint/ Harden while leaving Dekker/Harrell open
& rotate help off Capela (with another player rotating onto Capela in the paint).....stay close to Gordon,
Ryno & Lou W.....so-so in the vicinity of Ariza/Beverley. Of course Nene got hurt and Harden got tired
rotating defensively himself vs Gasol/LMA/Dedmon/D West as D’Antoni went 3 guards &
    Harden as SF/PF. (16/17)

Now, the Rockets have no weakness on the perimeter.....to a point. Teams will use the same ploy defensively
with the Warriors doing it best against the Rockets; but still too many holes left open on the perimeter. GSW
in particular will drop off of JJ, Luc MaM and Tucker on the perimeter like they did to OKC in 15/16 when they
left Andre Roberson open and dropped off of him to provide def help in the paint vs Westbrook/Durant.
Trying to keep the stars as jump shooters. Roberson made many of his 3 in the first 4 games; but as per
Warriors strategy.......beat us by making those four the better of a 7 game series. Tucker 37%, Luc 36% and
JJ shoots 27%. It’s not about the % of Tucker/Luc as much as quantity. Tucker shoots 3.7 per game
while Luc shoots 2.9 per game. I have confidence Tucker and Luc will make enough of them. JJ
is shooting the same as with Utah.....wrist injury has been a factor as well as the usual depth pe4ception
issues that come with Toyota Center. JJ will get even more open shots from 3 in playoffs than right now.

Warriors will stay in Gerald Greens and E Gordons grills. In the vicinity of Ariza/CP3/Ryan. Ryan if he makes
his 1st then close.....because if he make his 1st he can go off on a roll and make his next 5 with a hand in
    his face (on the road).

    reg season (17/18): 35.1% freq.........1.16 ppp (pg 1)

Gerald should do good in hand offs, spot ups, cutters and transitions in the playoffs. His quick release
and good range while shooting anywhere along the 3-point line makes Gerald Green more than worthy
of playing in the playoffs. I have no doubt Gerald Green wont be shy as he shoots about 7 a game
without any consciousness......and will shoot it well.

I forgot to mention the Rockets aren’t going up against the Warriors in the 1st 2 rounds.

That Gerald Green is going to go off. Hide the women and children. It might get nasty.

Gerald Green is the action figure you forgot you had and stopped playing with a long time ago, but now the TECHNODROME is attacking the Turtle layer and you're all out of actual turtles.

    Harden...........................39.0%................................4.9...................................36.3%
    Capela...........................39.6%.................................3.2...................................36.9%

    T Black...........................29.2%.................................1.4....................................35.7%
    Ariza...............................28.7%.................................3.3....................................35.9%

**Joe Johnson isn’t killing the Rockets on the perimeter. Understood that rotations can cover some of
the flaws players have on the perimeter. Warriors cover for Curry in the post while the Rockets help
out a player like Ryan Anderson. As I said the other day....I would like JJ to chase Curry off the 3-pt line
and rush to the next closest shooter on the perimeter. That defender leaves to help on Curry on his drives.
That defender is usually set up at the FT line elbow. Just don’t let Curry go left to that left corner. He
shot about 64% from that corner in 14/15 playoffs.

Here is your team @ballscientist1 : defending 3’s

    Livingston......36.6%
    Nick Young.....40.9% (phew-wee)
    Looney............38.0%
    Bell.................39.2%
    Klay................39.3%
    Cook...............36.2%
    Durant............34.4%
    Iggy.................28.3%

    I notice I didn’t look up West/MeGee/Draymond

    I don't trust him...he is so inconsistent.

Love his energy but he shoots too much - especially when he is off....

I would give him 3 shots, and if he hits 1 or 2...he plays more...if not...to the bench.

I agree with JVG, this is one of the worst officiated game of the season.

He's a streaky shooter with confidence issues. Good thing on this team, everyone encourages him to let it fly.

GG can't seem to adjust when the other team is playing with desperate intensity.

D'Antoni better have a quick leash with him in the playoffs. Tonight's insertion in place of EG was not encouraging at all.

I bet Joe Johnson will be more ready for the playoffs. Green won't see the court.

Too spastic. JJ is too slow. Looks like he is ready for the assisted living center. The "snap" in his game is gone.

All I know is that I don't ever wanna see both Green and Joe in the game at the same time. They are just not reliable on defense and cannot afford to have both of them fouling and just not being effective.

Playoffs will tell the story... to me it seemed like the rockets didn't want it bad enough last night.
