No because green could take some minutes from Ryno as well.

Tucker and luc at the 4 instead of Ryno would free up minutes for green

It’s not that Green is better than Ariza. It’s just Green is way better offensively and also the most athletic guy we have on our team. Ariza is just “smarter” defensively and knows all of the plays we do. The level of difficulty to launch the 3’s the way he does off a screen is just wow.

then tell mda to get over his rotations paranoia so green can stop rotting on the bench and get 15-20mpg

Gerald Green is VERY active on defense.
Ariza is obviously better when the defense is set but man, Green is always hustling.

At first when this Green issue was brought up I was thinking typically, people are jumping the gun based on a few good games. But he really should get minutes seeing that I imagine he will be even better once he gets comfortable with our system.

But there really are no minutes to go around. And to be clear to some who have suggested this, none of these players can do what Ryno does so he’s not the one to give up minutes for a solution. Ryno is necessary to stretch out the offence.

Gerald Green has an I-45 and an Oilers tat. He gets my vote. I'm glad we have both of them.

Ariza shouldn't be playing 35 mpg even when healthy. Get him to around 30 mpg, maybe high 20's. That's 10 minutes right there for Green. Cut down on Harden minutes to 33 and then monitor Gordon minutes more closely because back issues are chronic and I fear that will linger.

Green brought the ball up from the backcourt this game on a possesion and looked better during it than either LMM or Ariza. That something so simple yet it's hard or awkward for them two.

Green is a better or more willing cutter
He's a better catch and shooter
    He's active on defense.
Ariza defense hasn't been lights out this year. He just understands rotations better

We need all the good players we can get and healthy for the playoffs against the warriors and maybe this dr jykell and me Hyde okc team.

We need Ariza tucker luc green all fresh and getting minutes. You need wings and we have a lot of them.

Ariza is the best 3&D tucker is the big brute force who is the dirty work rebounder. Green is all offense all
The time and can fill it up quick. Luc is the best of the bunch imo. He’s really good and if we have to choose between him and Ariza this summer I want luc. He’s the best defensive guy player on the team is surprisingly pretty decent on threes and is a very underrated ball handler and passer. He’s the best of the 4 at that imo.

The rockets are really really deep the green pick up put us over the top
    Imo.

I don’t think any team is deeper and has the fit we have.

Cp3 harden Gordon playing all the guard minutes

Capela and nene eat up all center minutes.

Ryno Ariza luc tucker and green eat up the rest of the minutes at the 3 and 4 position.

I just hope and pray harden and the guys are fresh going into the playoffs.

If so were top 5 on both sides. And lethal for all 48 min.

What is with these dumb questions? Defense wins championships. Only player on the team that has a ring. Shut these dumb threads down.

The answer here is obvious. The real question is Green vs. Harden. Green was a +18 and Harden was a -7 today.

Good thing for Rockets fans this not a either or answer. We have both this season, let’s maximize both.

Green can be very productive but you have to keep him on a short leash because of his low IQ.

There is a reason this guy bounced around plenty and was having Doritos at home when Rockets called.

You cant let him get over his head because that's when he makes some really dumb plays on offense and defence.

And I say all this as someone that is happy with him on the team.

Green is very trigger happy, which is fine in short bursts. But there for some reason there is a belief that he is some offensive dynamo. Him and Ariza are basically the same shooter % wise. Since Green got back in the league 7 years ago (42%FG, 36%3) vs. Ariza (42%FG, 37%3). The only difference is Ariza is much more restrained.

Green is playing hard and making shots. There a reason a guy with his shooting, length and athletic ability was sitting at home while Ariza is one of the most respected role players in the league. Just be happy with what he does.

Green is a specialist. He provides good hustle and spirit to the team. His offense is key to keeping the rockets offense from getting stagnant. MDA just has to use him mostly with Chris Paul. Chris gets him the right shot at the right time.
