Buxton got a late jump on both of his shoestring catches a la Gerald Young.

Buxton is vastly overrated. He has some serious length and speed but lacks some of the under appreciated elements of the game. Marisnick makes that play routinely without going Jim Edmonds like Buxton.

He did, but it was a solidly hit ball, unlike the Gattis one.

Looking back at it, jump wasn't so bad on the Lowrie line drive. It looked like he was stuck in mud on the Gattis ball.

2 months, 1 game under .500 without him.

So... if I'm doing my math correctly, 47-34 with him? He's obviously not *that* good but, man... this is great news.

That's a 94 win pace over a full season. Pretty damn good.
