This is like the 4th different thread you’ve brought up Reed. Are you his agent? They’re not calling him up unless there’s a dire need for a first baseman after Gurriel, Marwin, AND Davis get hurt.
It would be wonderful if he was a legit LH power hitting DH/1B option. But from everything we've seen he's not.
So many people don’t understand baseball On another thread a large majority of people said we couldn’t even get out of Gattis contract about a month ago. That’s not how baseball works. He had a horrible start, now he has been incredibly hot. The truth is somewhere in between, but it’s funny to me how most people overreact so much In any case, our DH spot is fine. People expecting Marwin to be last years Marwin are likely gonna be very disappointed though, if he can be what he has always been before last year that’s good enough for his role though
The supporting cast hitting like they are takes the monkey off the backs of Altuve, Correa, Springer, and Bregman. Kemp and Gattis have forced themselves into more playing time. Gurriel, Marwin, McCann, Reddick are getting their bats to respectability; though they are established defensive regulars. Poor Fisher, he may soon find out what it’s like to be stuck in AAAA... But I’m stoked about the way Kemp is playing, talk about being prepared to take advantage of an opportunity.
In the AL: Gattis is 6th in RBIs,(46) Alejandro is 5th in Walks.(42) Jose 1st in hits(97), 6th in obP (.387) Springer 3rd in runs (52) You can say these stats are cherry picked but I'd say they're fresh produce cherries!
