I'll trust the Spurs front office on this one. If they had him and let him go, I don't think I want the Rockets involved.
Parsons is a better fit than Aldridge. LA is great and more dominant on his own, but we need a versatile 3 like Parsons more. It makes no sense to trade Parsons/Asik for Aldridge imo.
Even if they only let him go due to signing a more expensive option and not being able to get him to take a minimum deal?
You posted that trade offer in this thread, in the gasol/bosh/LMA thread in the dish, and in the trade idea thread. Why?
Basketball Forever @Bballforeverfb 1h WOW! The #Spurs have withdrawn their offer to Gary Neal! Likely to make room for Greg Oden. Neal could end up in HOU, LA, NYK even IND.
Basketball Forever @Bballforeverfb 1h Teams looking for shooters may have found a gem in Gary Neal. Doesn't seem like much, but could be big asset off the bench for contender.
If we lose out on the Mike Miller contest than I would love to sign this guy (if the price is right). For the same reasoning I want Mike Miller. I have a strong feeling either Lin or Asik are going to get traded and if not a minor trade at the deadline. Having guys like Neal will allow us to take a better quality player coming in while giving up more quantity. Allowing us not having to make desperation moves such as T-mac, Delonte West, or a D-leaguer.
