Canaan with a boneheaded pass and turnover, but runs down the play and blocks the ball on defense at around 3:24 in the 1st qtr.

The team is having problems hitting 3's tonight. They're playing against a team suiting up only 9 players due to a trade from what they said.

If anyone was looking for whatever happened to Mikki Moore, he plays for the Reno Big Horns.

He fits perfectly. A guy who can make a boneheaded play then do something spectacular to get the ball back.

I think Canaan will break out next season.

Troy Daniels seriously has no conscience. If he has a foot distance between the defender and himself and he's behind the 3 point line, he's going to jack the shot. Unreal.

I've come to the conclusion that if you simply guard the 3 point line against Troy Daniels, you will fail. This dude needs to be guarded another 3-5 feet beyond the 3 point line.

I've also come to the conclusion our defense is horrific. lol.

Horrible shooting on 3's for RGV ... they're something like 3-24 shooting in the first half. It's amazing they're only down 3 at halftime.

Couldn't be around tonight until now -- just now catching up. Tight game heading to the fourth... 86-84 Reno.

Like Dr of Dunk was saying, looks like Daniels is hitting threes but the rest aren't. Daniels is 5-8 and the rest of the team is 3-30  Canaan and Covington a combined 1-17 from three-point range.

At least we're on target to put up 50 3pt attempts

Vipers were down by 15 points with 4:20 left.

They just cut it to two with 2:05 remaining.

Wow... got to watch this finish. Troy Daniels converted a four-point play to cut it to a one-point game, and the Vipers now have the ball with 56.8 seconds left. 112-111 Reno.

    Daniels has hit 8 threes.

That was crazy. Watching that fourth quarter, I thought they had zero chance of pulling that one out.

Down by 15. This team showed heart and came back to win it. The team was out of sync and it had to do with the rough one game road trip to Iowa during the severe cold front. The team got back around 1 am Tuesday morning from the Sunday game in Iowa and gutted out a rough outing.

Really impressive considering the Rockets rookies really shot the ball poorly.

This comeback is WORTH watching though for those who missed it. Watch from the 2:13:50 mark of the video in the original post.

That was an unreal ending. No way RGV should've been losing to this team. They suck at full strength, but they were down to 9 players on their roster and still nearly won. Like rocketsmetalspd said, the Vipers apparently got back in at 1am thanks to the ice storms up here in DFW and the Midwest, so maybe that had something to do with their horrible shooting. But no matter what, Troy Daniels is a freaking gunner. His range is 25 feet and he takes those things like they were normal jumpshots.

They played poorly, but great comeback, though!

Would be really cool to see minor league basketball develop into something in our lifetime. Crazy how far it has come in just the last five years.

Looks like Troy deserves a Gatorade NBA call up.

Hmm... is this Daryl Morey? Was he scouting Canaan/Daniels down there?
I kept seeing this dude sitting on the front row and his head was Daryl-shaped. I forgot about him the rest of the game. I decided to go back and watch the rally and noticed him again during a timeout while a kid danced with the mascot.

A few minutes later, they showed him again, but a bit of a closeup from the side... I swear this looks like Daryl :

He was on his phone a lot. Adding 1 and 1 together to arrive at 3, we must be getting ready to trade for Lebron.

^^ That *does* look a lot like him.
