Yeah. But they totally neutered the whole thing, which sort of disappointed me. In the books it was like he was literally drowning them and then bringing them back somehow. In the show he just pours some water over Theon's head.

He did that books too. He only drowned and resuscitated his priests and acolytes.

I don't recall him actually drowning Theon. It was in FoC before I actually recall him drowning someone.

    Good episode.

It is a shame though that a bit of the subtlety has been lost in translation, such as the relationship between Loras and Renly. In the book you kinda have to guess what might be going on there, wheras in the show they throw a couple man-action scenes at you.

Still, that's nitpicking. The only thing that's truly bothered me so far about the show is the portrayal of Littlefinger. First they gave the Hound's backstory to him in season 1, which was wrong on any number of levels. Then they added scenes in season 2 already that show him being a lot more confrontational and threatening than he is in the books (faceoff with Cersei, talk with the w****). To me, the essence of his awesomeness is his absurd emotional control and cleverness in all situations. He doesn't really ever say the wrong thing. Some of the added scenes take away from his character.

In the books the only time I remember him losing any amount of control was when he got pissed at Tyrion when he found out Tyrion was using him to help find out who Cersie's spy was.

Exactly. By contrast, only a moron would talk about "uncomfortable relationships between brothers and sisters" to Cersei's face.

It was a scene where he was definitely trying to pull a power play on Cersie that backfired. He never tried that in the books for sure.

I've heard the next episode is CGI heavy. It will be interesting to see how they pull off a certain tent scene.

    Ratings hold steady

I guess it doesn't really matter since we have already gotten season 3

Whatever it takes to push GRRM to write book 6.....

I only thing I hate about the NFL season is how much it kills Martin's productivity.

You don't get literally every show they've ever done but there are tons. Entire entourage series is definitely on there for example.

Depending on what series you need to see/catch up on, you'd certainly have months of entertainment.

That's true, but I would have liked to see him do it to someone.

Great episode so far. Nice to see that they give Yoren a worthy
    death
. Margaery Tyrell is HOT. Shae can't act.

I'm pissed since it's only 10 episode. This isn't enough to flesh out ACoK.

they really need to recast Shae. It ruins so many Tyrion scenes.

Oh and Asha(Yara). Still not sold on her and not how I envision her. What's with legs especially her arms are dead by her side just dangling. Put some freaking poses into your stances for goodness sake.
