Yeah, as a kid, he was my favorite Cougar. I remember staying up in bed listening to road games....rooting him on... If not for the injuries his NBA career would be known by many...Otis had MAJOR game.
Otis was the first guard to make $1 million a year. Otis and Phil Ford were a lethal backcourt for the Kings in the late 70's early 80's. I bet a lot of people don't remember the Rockets beat the Kings in the west finals in 81. Otis left as a free agent after that year and Phil Ford broke his eye socket and was never the same. Otis was part of the Nets team that knocked off the defending champion Sixers in 84 playoffs. That was probably his last gasp of greatness.
