    We won't know the refs until Thursday at 8 AM, but it's fun to speculate. I personally believe the referee assignment to be one of the most important aspects of Game 6s in general. If we get Joey Crawford the Rockets' chances improve dramatically IMO. I don't have the stats to back this up, but it seems like the NBA always sends him out to force Game 7s and he helps road teams in general.

    Joey reffed today's Cleveland game so I think there is a substantial chance his crew gets tomorrow off and he refs the game in LA. This could be huge. If we look Thursday morning and Joey is reffing the game I'm going to have a really good feeling.

    PRAYING for Joey Crawford and his quick whistle. It's pretty damn obvious that DeAndre Jordan is the difference in this series.

    I always felt like Joey Crawford was a good ref, other than a few choice moments with Tim Duncan. You can bet Harden will get 10-15 free throws if Joey refs Game 6.

    Exactly. I'd much rather have him for Game 6 on the road than Game 7 at home. If we don't get him for Game 6 you can bet he'll be here for a possible Game 7.

    I am very happy that Steve Javie is no longer around -
    worst referee ever! I can't understand how ESPN
    has him as a consultant.

    But talking about referees and how important
    they are nowadays. The players should know
    ahead of time so they can plan accordingly -
    sad but true. Referees are not neutral anymore -
    so yes, one more wrinkle added to the game.

    Yeah even though joey is extremely overenthusiastic and makes some questionable calls, he knows when to make the contact fouls and doesn't let a lot slide.

    the clippers have been beaeting us up and getting away with it, joey wont let it slide. so i am for the first time saying this... i hope hes there.

    Ken Mauer is the worst case. I think it's Joey Crawford's turn to referee one of our games though. He's quick to blow the whistle, but he's incredibly consistent and by-the-book. I've grown to like him as a ref.

    old joey is some character. i actually dont mind him too much. he just calls for too much attention onto himself which he shouldnt have.

    even today when i think about he gave duncan a technical for laughing on the bench and then sent him off, i still crack up. :)
