I thought it was going to be an ending but that finale sure left the door open for a second season......
"No sparks, no flames, no inflammatory comments. I'm covered in explosives" - Hope the chemist isn't dead if they have a season 2. That boarding the ship scene was fun and I thought the finale capped it off well. T'would be nice if they incorporated the mysticism more if they do renew it. But if not, I enjoyed myself. mmmhh? mmm. Spoiler: R.I.P. hot sister Oona Chaps, indiscriminately yelling Jon Pryce, that one w**** lady
Spoiler It means theyre headed to America to become Americans, where Nootka is, and where he plans to commerce all the tea in China. They were carrying a ton of powder with them, so if they do renew a second season (which I think they will), they will have more obstacles to go through in America and have powder to trade or powder to fight with. All in all, great show, great acting. Wished this season was at least 10 episodes though. Last one seemed a little rushed.
Agree. Turned out decent. I'd be in for season 2 if the show wasn't 1.5hrs. I'll have to hear GREAT things to tune in for season 2 (if there is one) with such a long runtime.
Tom Hardy says in Season 2 "explosive stuff is going to happen". http://www.digitalspy.com/tv/taboo/news/a822383/tom-hardy-taboo-series-2-explosive/
Yea I thought it was going to be more supernatural but after the first episodes I was intrigued by the possible political intrigue. It just seemed like this show couldn't figure out what it wanted to be despite good acting and character.
It seemed like they just peppered in a little supernatural here and there more for mood and effect than anything. It was also convenient having the ability to predict the future and reading peoples' minds every now and then. I don't think I could have made it through if it wasn't for the high sparrow, & seeing and hearing Delaney as bane.
Bane? Seems like someone was way late to the Tom Hardy party. I saw much more Wuthering Heights/Bronson here.
Season 2 confirmed. http://www.radiotimes.com/news/2018...hardy-to-return-to-bbc1-as-the-devil-delaney/ I could do 8 seasons of just watching Tom Hardy mumble every episode.
