It aired tonight I guess (I missed it) but it re-airs Tuesday at 10. http://houston.astros.mlb.com/NASAp...t_id=1731084&vkey=news_hou&fext=.jsp&c_id=hou FSN to air retrospective on Bagwell Special will highlight slugger's life and career with the Astros By Alyson Footer / MLB.com HOUSTON -- FSN Houston will salute the extraordinary career of Astros first baseman Jeff Bagwell during an hour-long special on Friday night at 7 p.m. CT. "Spotlight: Jeff Bagwell, Legacy of an MVP" will take a look back on the veteran first baseman's life and career, including his road to the big leagues, his 15-year tenure in Houston, his family and the mark he has left on the Astros organization. The show includes dozens of interviews with current and former teammates, former managers, front-office staffers, members of the media and Bagwell's family. Former teammates Mike Hampton, Moises Alou and Luis Gonzalez, former skipper Art Howe, general manager Tim Purpura and club owner Drayton McLane are among the long list of guests highlighted in the special. The show will also air an entire segment dedicated to Bagwell and longtime teammate Craig Biggio, and it will also spotlight some of the more difficult times in Bagwell's life, including the deaths of Darryl Kile and Ken Caminiti. Bagwell, the greatest slugger in franchise history, cut ties with the club as an active player when the Astros opted not to pick up the option on his contract for the 2007 season. Bagwell, who will likely stay within the organization during his post-playing career, finished his Astros tenure as the team's all-time leader in home runs (449) and RBIs (1,529). "Spotlight: Jeff Bagwell, Legacy of an MVP" will re-air Tuesday night on channel 37 at 10 p.m. CT. Alyson Footer is a reporter for MLB.com. thanks a lot for the heads up, man... JK. Thanks for the TUESDAY NIGHT heads up. ROOKIE OF THE YEAR, MVP. Future HALL OF FAMER. Hats off to Jeff.
And I was trying to find something to watch tonight..... I got so desperate I rented....gulp....Tokyo Drift....
Sweet, will they show all the times bags hit those big time three run jacks when the Stros were up by five runs in the 8th. Or maybe all the times Bags hit solo shots in the seventh when the Astros were down 10-1.
I had a feeling this might be wanted by Stros fans, so I recorded it. Would yall like me to release it? I can fit it in between Rockets games
I almost cried when I watched it. All my childhood idols are retiring. Biggio is the last remaining straw.
