I was in the area so I stopped at the Fry's in Webster today out of curiousity. Complete ghost town. I think I saw 1 employee. Pretty much no product on the shelves. It's sad seeing the store like this because it was a nice place to shop for a variety of stuff back in the day (I used to live near the Plano Fry's). Not even sure why they're keeping the store open at this point.
**** . . bring some friends and make giant Hide And Go seek game Honestly it would be FANTASTIC for Lasertag Rocket River
Seems like it should been turned into a roller park or something they had all the time and space Rocket River
A huge failure was not revamping their online presence. Their site never got a revamp like best buy did (and by the time they were offering same day delivery it was too late). Don't get me wrong brick and mortar is certainly struggling but best buy's revamp has at least made them more competitive.
So, anyone buying their local Fry’s to turn it into apartments? Guess Micro Center is all we got now.
Couple of thoughts. 1. Sad that the death of Frys is official 2. I can't believe it's been over a year since I visited Frys and made this post. How did Frys last over a year during a pandemic before shutting off its doors for good? So much has happened in the world since December 2019 but it feels like a few months ago, max.
