6-8 SF / PF 27 years old - 39% Career 3pt %, was showing the ability to hit over 40% in Phoenix. - 60% Career TS % - Above Average Defender - Nice Screen Roller - Finishes well around the rim - Will likely need to offer 25m+ to prevent Brklyn from matching due to tax concerns. - Anything that hurts Brk, is better for our future picks.
He's an upgrade over KJ but how much are you willing to pay? If we end up drafting Wemby or Miller or Walker. Then there is a lot of overlap at forward spot. What if we get Scoot? Maybe, but much rather sign Harden. Then Harden can a mentor for Scoot.
Would be a great addition with his shooting... but any free agent comes with the caveat of "depends on who we draft". What if we just landed Brandon Miller #3?
Pay him. Kidnap him. Lock him up in an HPD holding cell. He’s a perfect target for this team. Get er done!
Catch-n-Shoot 3P% 22/23 regular season Cameron Johnson........41.5% James Harden..............41.5% KPj.................................43.5% Torrey Craig...................40.% Jalen Green...................35.1% We would be contenders day one......assists everywhere
he's not as young as most people think. that being said I'm happy to steal him from the nets if possible.
Obvious play is to overpay him, maybe 3 year max deal. Not only do you get a very good player but screwing over the Nets means you also increase the value of the Nets picks.
I really like his game. Even though he's old, he's already at the super role player kind of level. Give him a front loaded max or something like that so that the Nets wouldn't be able to match but his contract gets more reasonable over time.
Nice piece. We'd have to unload Jae'Sean and we could possibly package him with picks for a trade for Jaylen Brown down the road.
From what I’m reading, the Nets will be just over the tax with a 17 mil or so cap hold for Cam Johnson. So, if we offer him a big contract — say a three year max with an option — I think the Nets would have a really hard time matching.
I'm going to say I would not have the draft affect trying to sign Cam Johnson. If the Rockets get Nick Nurse as coach, I'm sure he could figure out a way to use Jabari, Eason, Cam, and Miller.
I think he’d be a great fit and if you are around or under 25 mil there’s a good shot he’s going to hold decent trade value. Would like to see a lot of lineups with him and Tari at the 3/4. I like KJ but we can’t be too sentimental… if we can upgrade we should. Not sure what kind of off-season KJM is going to have but hard to see him taking a huge leap. I think KJ would fit great on a contender that needs a guy like him. The Rockets probably need more from their starting 3 at this point.
