The bartender at SRO said he heard that Francis may have broken his ankle in Washington summer league play. Has anybody heard about this??? We definitely would be in the lottery if this happened. ------------------ -The expert has spoken, so shut up and try to comprehend the truth.
I wouldn't think this is true, because if it was it would seem like someone on the internet would have heard about it and not just some bartender. But it definitely is cause for concern, so let's just hope and pray for the best. ------------------ Looking for next year's Dan Langhi? Draftsource.net Vote in the 64 player 1 on 1 NBA Tournament! Or maybe the bartender was saying Steve was "breaking some ankles", could he have meant that? ------------------ Looking for next year's Dan Langhi? Draftsource.net Vote in the 64 player 1 on 1 NBA Tournament! (Third Round) http://bbs.clutchcity.net/ubb/Forum2/HTML/000971.html
sAY iT AIN'T SO jOE !!!!!!! I am sure you wouldn't joke about this... So I just hope your source is totally misimformed... or pulling your leg (which would be totally wrong)... but I hope he was... ------------------
maybe someone could get in contact with the guy who gave the front page scoop about the Dc summer leagues and see if he knows anything. ------------------ Discombobulation Imminent
Probably some clueless local that doesn't know much about basketball. A guy came in who obviously knows a lot about the sport and saw Francis get burned a couple times. He said some guy broke Francis' ankle during a game. The bartender was stupid and took him literally. Sounds logical to me... And the alternative sounds foreboding... ------------------ WEBMASTER of SaveOurCuttino.Com "There are three kinds of lies: Lies, Damned Lies, and STATISTICS..." - Mark Twain -
Could someone please delete this thread?...Its scaring me...*shivers* ------------------ Ugh, Another Rockets off-season....I'm gonna need a keg of Pepto-Bismol.
Francis is NOT injured. I just got back from the annual "Midsummer Night's MAGIC Charity NBA Basketball game at the Pauley Pavilion hosted by Magic Johnson, and HE WAS FINE AND FLYING! He was by far the most electrifying player there and had 40 points (high scorer). Others in the game was none other than CUTTINO himself, Payton, Hughes, C.Alexander, Magic, B.Davis, M. Peterson, Outlaw, A. Miller, Cassell, Van Exel, Ceballos, S. Cotton, T. Murray, P. Pierce. I actually was the only one there with a Francis jersey, and seeing that, he actually gave me a high five, and gave my girlfriend a personalized autograph. He even waved high to us total strangers in the middle of the game. He's a great guy. FYI, Cuttino was also great, the #2 dunker there behind Francis. And watch out for this Alexander kid, HE IS FOR REAL! ------------------

I can breathe a little easier now. Hey do they televise those games? Sounds like Franchise is tearing things up there, WOOHOO!!! ------------------ Don't EVER underestimate the Heart of a CHAMPION!
Thanks Shank, I was about to have a heart attack. But anyways I do hope Francis and Mobley stop playing that much during the offseason. Or just not tell me about it. ------------------ Fun Police Says: 1. Insulting fellow posters without my permission is not FUN! 2. Francis signed for me earlier this year when I saw the Rockets in DC against the Wizards. (the game he posterized Jahidi White) It may have been because he was in front of the home fans in DC, but he signed for a long period of time, and talked to practically everybody while he was doing it. I wasn't early enough to try for his autograph at any games at Compaq Center, but it would seem like if he signed on the road he would at home. ------------------ Looking for next year's Dan Langhi?
