HOUSTON -- NBA sources tell FOX 26 Sports that Rick Adelman will be named the next head coach of the Houston Rockets. League sources tell FOX 26 that Adelman and the Rockets have reached a preliminary agreement on a contract which means he will replace Jeff Van Gundy who was fired Friday. Adelman has been an NBA head coach with three different teams. Most recently he was the boss in Sacramento before being dismissed prior to the 2006-2007 season. He has also been the head coach in Golden State and in Portland where he led the Trailblazers to the NBA Finals twice. And so it begins. Let's get it going. TMac and Juwan and Luther for Bibby, Artest, and Shaqueef. Get r done.
I am damn glad they got their man. I couldn't help but think this was going to blow up in their faces.
Can't argue that the style is going to change, and if nothing else it will be interesting to see what comes of it.
Guess we will see come 2008 season, I hope rockets win the championship next year. I really was hoping for big chief triangle but I guess he is not coming.
If anything we can expect a fun offseason. There are going to be some changes and it will be exciting waiting for each one to unfold. Won't be the same offseason this year.
Good to see Morey looks to have secured his target. It's gonna be a long off-season waiting to see what Aldeman brings to the team
So it begins! Can't wait for the inevitable roster change as Adleman tries to get players that suit his style. Good Bye to boring Gundy ball!!!!!
