the difference is beef and poultry is quite inexpensive compared to shark fin. trust me, you sell shark fin for $1.99/lb, nothing Yao does would affect the market (at least significantly). besides, alot of the people here who are "swearing it off" are likely not even having it once a month. i'd like to add, i've seen countless vids of slaughterhouses and their killing methods and i still eat all the meats. maybe i've just become desensitized to the whole matter.
I am not trying to belittle Yao's efforts. I just wonder whether all animal rights advocates are vegetarians too. Anyway, this is a basketball forum afterall so I will not continue on this topic.
IMHO there is a difference in not wanting endangered animals extinct, and eating meat. But you are right lets not go into the subject. We have the D&D for that.
So Yao is a Liberal huh? O'well aslong as he plays well on the court I'm good with that. Go Rockets!!!
If you have read my post carefully, it has nothing to do with the endangered animal issues. I have also make the disclaimer that I was not trying to belittle Yao's efforts.
By not picking up the garbage can, that's a violation of the public's right to live in a cleanly environment, not a violation of the garbage can's right to stand up straight.
