Said this back in January. Hope I'm wrong but my friend is usually right about these things.

Not surprised this is not getting reviewed well.

This is what happens when Fox refuses to let the franchise go and is forced to make a movie to keep its rights. Hopefully this is bad enough so they actually realize they can't do **** with it and give it back to Marvel

I thought it looked better visually from the trailers, but sounds like a dumper yet again. This is what the 4th bad movie now. Sad.

Should I even bother renting this from Blockbuster?

From the quotes at the bottom of the page:

Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman: I gotta say, it's fun having you here.
    Reed Richards: Really?
    Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman: No.

Representative of the great dialogue in the movie, and my feelings towards it.

The 05 version and Silver Surfer are entertaining IMO. Good Movies? No, but entertaining they definitely were.

Studio doesn't care that they put out a horrific movie. The comic book movie obsession guarantees they will make millions off of it.

But now I'm kind of curious to see how bad it really is.

    Reverse psychology marketing?

    Catwoman had 9% also.

Elektra had 10% and Batman and Robin had 11%.

But superhero movies? Fox just can't do F4 right and ruin an awesome villain in Doom. There were so many problems during and afrer filming that the reviews are probably right. Fox needs to just stick with X-Men.

They simply want to ride on the coattails of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Many people just associated this movie with Marvel studios. If they would have done it, probably a 70% on RT instewd of 9%.

Guess the rumor was true. New rumor - Fox is already trying to work a deal with Marvel to gain some X-Men pull in exchange for the F4 license.

That would be hilarious. The problem is, I don't even know if I'd want the license now. They've ran it through the dirt so badly, you won't be able to reboot it any time soon. (Obviously they want the license back, just saying)

Disagree; even the new X-Men are far inferior to the MCU movies. They need to sell the film rights back to Disney and be done with it.

Man, 9% on RT...I usually don't give much credence to these types of reviews but 9% is absolutely terrible.

I was on the casual fence about seeing it in the theater but I'll wait for video now. There's an outside shot it will be good because Josh Trank's Chronicle was so good but I'm not holding my breath.

When a trailer can't do much for a forthcoming film you know it's probably going to be bad. It just looks stupid. Did they have no one to point out that the script smells like ass, "who greenlighted this?", nothing?

Still, 9% on Rotten Tomatoes? That's "Left Behind" with Nicolas Cage bad. Guess they won't be using that in the commercials like "MI5" has done (but when you're at 93%, it's a different ballgame).

A shame, really. I loved F4 comics when I was a kid. (And the comics were 25 cents, then gradually increased to 30 cents, 35 cents....)

I'll have to wait until 8 months from now to see how Kate Mara rocks that outfit. (Just being honest here; too much so?) Jessica Alba was yummers in the first F4 movie but someone must have told her that her butt looked big in the superhero costume (I had the exact opposite opinion), because she was so skinny in "Silver Surfer".
