    I haven't felt this bad since the rockets re-signed moochie! Mario instead of Vince or Reggie, Mike for Rafer, DA for nothing, after all da bad deals in Houston, I wouldn't be surprised if the Rockets trade their 1st draft pick for Olowokandi and a DVD of Kazaam

    I'm making fun of the idea of drafting on concession sales. Selling tickets and selling concessions are two entirely different worlds.

    it's 1 thing: Houston has a problem...
    dang man,, what's wrong with Houston sports franchices ??? how can u pass on Reggie and Vince for Mario???????????wtf ??? I dont get it!!!.. even my little brother ( a 5th grader) would've chosen either Reggie or Vince... Mario /??? omg.... :mad: :mad: :mad:
    texans are on crack... hope the Rockets dont do the same...

    I actually found out about it this morning.. but I just expressed my crazy anger because the whole day was dang crazy.. I keep asking: Mario??? we drafted Mario /???? ... people think that I am crazy .. talking to myself all the time.. :D

    I just hope that the rockets dont do the same mistake... because I cheered my a$$ off on the Texans to lose the last game and to get a better draft pick.. and I did exactly the same thing with the rockets... lets hope that we dont draft "John Smith" in the first round.. :D

    So this is HOW I WOULD HAVE FELT if the Rockets drafted Jay William over Yao Ming or if Cleveland drafted Darko over Lebron :rolleyes: :rolleyes:




    BUSH is tooooooo goood/hype (aka Lebron) to take a risk on Mario. Even if Mario become as decent player and Bush become what he all think he would be ...... it'll be the biggest mistake in draft history. Sam Bowie over Jordan?

    The expectation is TOOOOOOOOOOO HIGH on Mario to try to live up to.

    You forget what happened in 2002. The commentators and media analysts were hailing the Yao Ming pick as Bowie over Jordan II. They couldn't believe that a 7-6 Chinese player who they had never seen before could be any good. Of course, they were dead wrong, and it makes me happy every time I think about those idiots who predicted that Yao would be Bowie and Jay Williams would be Jordan.

    If Mario lives up to the pick wouldn't it be more like (H)Akeem over Jordon? Not to many around here b**** about the Rockets not taking Jordan.

    I'm not a fan of pro-footbal. So I really don't care other than I would have been really tempted to watch a Texans game with Vince or Reggie.

    However, you're Yao analogy is drop-dead inaccurate. While it's true a lot media and coaches didn't think Yao would cut it, a great many..Bill Walton, Auerbach, Bill Russell, Kiki Vandeweghe to name a few...were onboard immediately after Yao's private workout.

    Many more remained detractors for reasons that Yao couldn't overcome language, cultural or other barriers that Williams doesn't have. Again, I'm not a pro football fan, but after observing the media today I'd say the tone over Williams was vastly more negative than from Yao. And probably for good reason.
