What's everybody throwing on the grill this Friday?

I just picked up some boneless beef rib meat that goes into the Korean BBQ marinade this afternoon, some baby back ribs with basic rub on them, and a buddy is bringing over some Omaha steaks and crab legs.

I'll be cooking a brisket and picking up some cold sausage to grill from Smitty's in Lockhart.

thinking about smoking a brisket. will wait to closer to the weekend to decide. see how things play out.

for people who smoke a lot, what wood are you using for briskets? I've been using oak or pecan, but thinking about trying one with mesquite. I'm not sure how good of an idea that is though? Any thoughts...

I don't know, but it's going to be good! Some friends are actually doing the grilling, I'm probably just marinating... I'll figure it out after work.

updawg, ed(win) will bring you a pre-cooked brisket from the store and heat it up on the grill for you...just like he did at Enchanted Rock that one time on a college camp trip outing. and, we know how that turned out.

Usually brisket or ribs. This year however we're trying a huge piece of deer.
