Beat me to it! Now I can finally afford to see a race in person. Best news ever! I hope this new circuit is awesome. Can we buy tickets now? I need to start saving. You will not believe how expensive it is to see a F1 race at any one of the current circuits around the world. I was actually saving up to go see the British Grand Prix in Silverstone this year, but screw that. I have waited this long to go see a race, I think I can wait two more years.
Wonder where they would build a track. I don't know anything about F1 racing. Is this something like a NASCAR track that requires seating/viewing for over 100,000? I can't imagine anywhere near town they'd actually build something like that...except maybe somewhere east or south of town.
^^ No. Houston had a formula 1 race yearly for a while but it got canceled. It was around the George R. Brown Convention Center. Is that what you mean? They can turn almost ANY streets into an F1 raceway.

yeah i think the cars for formula one are about 200 hundred times more expensive. i think they are like $20-30 million or something extreme like that.

I kinda glanced at the article, but they are building a track, correct? What are they suppose to do the other weekends when not in use? Can you use it as a music/festival type place?
Rumor is southeast of the airport, which is about the worst place they possibly build it... well, besides Circle C.
SE (airport direction) is the only possibility. All other directions are either developed, in development or are way too expensive for such a large-scale operation.
I'm mainly a NASCAR girl, but since it's going to be so close, I'd go. It definitely has potential, since they can design it and build it all nice and custom n stuff.
