Interesting interview with "President" of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (the "moderate rebels") about what he hopes to accomplish and what he expects from the West ... another 4 minute audio clip at the link.

It'll also be interesting to see how true his last line in the quoted section below turns out to be.

Sunni Islamist dictator Erdogan is now bombing...the Kurds. I have said all along that he has been directly and indirectly backing ISIS.

    This is a funny position.

Why is Erdogan a "Sunni Islamist dictator" for retaliating with a heavy military hand against a frustrated and disenfranchised ethnic group, within Turkey's borders, that's known for using violence to achieve it's means ...

    but

Benjamin Netanyahu is well within his rights for retaliating with a heavy military hand against a frustrated and disenfranchised ethnic group, forcefully removed from their previous homes, that's also known for using violence to achieve it's means?

Because the Kurds are currently being attacked by a known terrorist group, possibly the most barbaric terrorist group in the world, ISIS, who is beheading women and children. There are millions of Kurds who are Turkish citizens. The Turkish army is watching from the border as ISIS (Sunni Islamists) are bombarding Kobane and as they are slaughtering Kurds. The Turkish army is actually actively preventing Kurdish fighters from coming to the rescue of Kobane, after having allowed ISIS fighters to seep in through the Turkish border for many months, and after having made sure to allow ISIS fighters to be treated in Turkish hospitals, etc., etc.

So while the Kurds are being slaughtered by ISIS (Sunni Islamists) in Kobane and elsewhere (after Erdogan (Sunni Islamist) has been tacitly and openly providing help to ISIS), Erdogan, instead of helping them against the barbaric aggression they are facing, is, again, indirectly helping ISIS by attacking the Kurds elsewhere, thereby binding their resources elsewhere.

All of this has nothing whatsoever to do with Netanyahu or Israel, unless, like you, g1184, one is a rabid Jew hater.

    Didn't really answer much there.

Both men suppressed opposition by the disenfranchised through a disproportionate show of force, causing vast numbers of preventable civilian casualties.

Why would you demonize one and applaud the other?

No, there was a peace process going on, 18 months...but Erdogan has been betraying the Kurds and been supporting ISIS, helping them to massacre Kurds in Kobane and elsewhere, while blocking Kurdish support troops from getting to Kobane.

Until then, in contrast to Hamas, which never stopped firing rockets into Israel and murdering Israeli civilians, the Kurds had stopped violence against Turkey. But Erdogan has been murdering them by proxy.

    You answer this question:

Why does Erdogan demonize Israel and send a flotilla to Gaza - but watches joyfully as people are being massacred in Kobane?

Erdogan IS a Sunni Islamist dictator. He wants to resurrect the Ottoman Caliphate. He is a whackjob.

Why don't you complain when Palestinians in hospitals were getting bombed by Israelis?

I love how if someone criticizes Israel they are Jew-hating, but if it's a Muslim country they are just being liberal.

Israel was defending itself. Hamas terrorists were shooting rockets from schools and hospitals.

Where are your sources? You have a pretty bad reputation on here for posting BS without sources or with fake anti-Islam, racist, bigoted websites.

And what was it defending itself from when it illegally grabbed thousands of acres of land from the West Bank?
