lets load up on draft picks and contracts that expire next year and go after Dwight and Paul next year. That is the only way we will ever be relevant in this new NBA. This is going to ruin the NBA. There are going to be about 6 or 7 teams that dominate and the rest of the league is going to suck and have no chance at winning a championship. Its load up with 2 or 3 superstars or become insignificant.
That works if you end up with a high draft pick somewhere. You need a Derrick Favors type of asset. We don't have that.
What are you talking about? We have Houston's next superstar right here! Terrence "Big Dick" Williams. Ye-- uhhh. No homo. (Thanks to Ramathorn for reminding me to edit and put in "no homo".)
I've already given up on this year because we were never going to win the title... What makes you think Chris Paul or D. Howard want to come here? As I mentioned before and have been shot down several times.. Rank 1 / Superstars / Tier 1 guys aren't willing to come to Houston. Are best shot is at Tier 2 guys and can't believe I'm saying this but a healthy comeback from Yao.... We don't have the Glitz Glamor, History, Big City Culture, Other Tier 1 talent on this team to attract Tier 1 stars.. It's a reality that people here on this board need to face... Our best shot at a Tier 1 talent is through the draft ala Yao/Hakeem... Only then will we be to attract another Tier 1 talent ala Drexler / Charles / T-mac..
Need to wait and see with what Morey can come up with before giving up on this season. If Morey can't get anything that will be seen as reloading, then let the rebuilding start.
Forget this DECADE: Deron Williams will go to NY. Dwight Howard will go to LA. What else? Chris Paul will join the Clippers to pair up with Blake Griffin? Kevin Love will go to Chicago?
TANK Time!!! It's time to start looking for the next Stud!!! The Knick's pick just went down in value so now we have to make our own more valuable. Hate to say it because there is no bonafided player in the college ranks worth saying let get him, but what other choice do the rockets have
Three months too late, should have happened immediately after Yao re-injured himself. I'm not a number cruncher, but best case scenario (we lose most of our remaining games) would probably get us into the top ten, but not into the coveted top three.
The Knicks have no bench. Zero. They are a tweaked ankle, knee from a 10 game losing streak. Be patient. Our Pick swap could pay off.
