Gani was projected lottery LAST year.. and he's projected mid 1st round this coming year. I've been watching him for a while, though.. that Duke game was his high. He has many lows. Very inconsistent, and he's been that way since he got to Tech. Ever the prospect.. I worry about his development going forward.
I imagine the exact quote was: "Compared to Penny Hardaway, this kid sucks." Not bad -- but it looks like he's playing against the Washington Generals.
NOT TRUE!! Below is TopFive's sure-fire three-step plan to get John Wall on the Rockets: 1) Let the Clippers draft him. 2) Wait for the inevitable career-ending injury. 3) Sign him when he returns as a shell of his former self.
Really? I believe you are referring to NBA draft.net's "NBA Comparison" feature which makes the Bleacher Report look like the Bible. Some past "NBA Comparisons" Joey Dorsey - Ben Wallace Patrick O'Bryant - Brad Daugherty JJ Redick - Drazen Petrovic Adam Morrison - Larry Bird and my favorite: Mardy Collins - Aaron McKie (hey they both went to Temple and were same height, lol...)
There is no such thing as a for sure thing. Remember Reggie Bush? The once a decade running back prospect who was a for sure thing?
Easy - I really enjoyed that article. Thank you for bringing it to our attention. I'd like to see that young man make it to the NBA just for his dad, if for no other reason...sounds like he will on his own merits though. Good for him.
Hey Easy... That Jeremy Lin kid can play. I saw that UConn game awhile back. Who knows? He plays for Harvard and he's asian so I'm sure those two things alone will make people pass on him....unfairly. Though that's not to say hat the might not be that good on a better level. But I like to give people the benefit of the doubt.
you're right about people overlooking him bc he's Asian... but a somewhat smart GM won't use race to judge anyone. *ahem morey*
You would give up Brooks for this guy??!?! Granted, I've seen limited film on him, but NO WAY!!!!!!!!
This. Thread title is a little misleading, and it forces people to dump on the OP. The Alexy kid in question is more of a target to the Rockets' org, seeing as how we probably won't end up out of the playoffs, but will fall in the mediocre part of the draft nonetheless (pick #16-25).
