    Rockets are 28-4 with they make 15+ threes, more than half our games.

    Exactly what I was thinking. We have the 3rd best record in the league but only 5th against the good teams. Is it supposed to be good news or bad news?

    Yeah, I was looking at my own list which ranked by magic numbers, and the Rockets were ahead of the Cavs by 1/2 game.

    Anyway, once in a while Morey would flash out this kind of weird stats that sounds good but when you think of it, you go, "Hmm...o_O"

    Sorry Morey, but it's not the best indicator of how good we are...it's just not, we are barely beating top 10 teams.

    What are you talking about?

    A 10-9 record against Top 10 teams in the playoffs mathematically translates to a 4-2 exit in the WCF. Not too bad.

    Don't you guys just luv my math skilz :cool:

    That doesn't mean we won't get upset in the first round though.

    The Rockets are currently 18-19 against the top 16 teams in the league. 12-9 against the 7 playoff teams in the west, 6-10 against the top 8 in the east.

    Thankfully, the Rockets do not play in the east. ;)

    Yes but what if you arbitrarily pick out the top 13 teams and compile their record against each other and ignore that we will only play one Eastern team en route to a championship? WE'RE DOOMED!

    The Rockets will be fine, I was just taking a look at how we fared against playoff teams this year and was quite surprised to see that we actually have a losing record against the current 15 playoff teams. Though, most of them are in the eastern conference which is no big deal imo.
