This video made me kind of sad :(

Exactly, bmd ftw. I can't even imagine taking lessons from dream for granted.

That's always been kind of the knock against Dwight and probably why he and Kobe would be at odds with each other, in that he's always laughing, joking and goofing around, so it makes it seem he's not serious about his work.

Rockets fans know first hand how effective Hakeem's drills have been for Dwight. Very excited.

If Dwight could make those little mid range jumpers. How good could he be!

To be honest, Dwight last year did the same exact moves he's always done.

Post play didn't really look any different from his Orlando days.

    Thanks Clutch!

The most interesting thing for me was how the level of focus changed when Mchale stepped in and started talking. Regardless of whether or not he's on the "hot seat", he still commands respect from the squad.

Also, I'm curious to see if Dorsey has a J

He did okay last season, actually better than I expected from how I remember his Orlando days. So I guess Hakeem did have a bit of impact on him.

But Dwight never looks like he has the feel all great post players have. He is very mechanical and uses his strength rather than skills to get his shot off. Only Shaq could get away with relying so much on physical strength. And even Shaq had smoother motion than Dwight.

I don't have much hope that Dwight will ever be a great post scorer. If he can sustain what he did last season, I'll be happy.

Hakeem doesn't seem like a coach to me. More like an instructor.

A coach, like McHale, will get on players who are goofing around or aren't playing with a proper level of intensity.

Hakeem will teach but the level of commitment and effort given is up to the player. He's not going to be a disciplinarian like a regular coach will.

That's what it looks like to me from the outside looking in.

ESPN: validated by ten minutes of pre season gym drills.

This is likely at the end of the practice. I'm sure Dwight takes the drills seriously.

I thought Dwight's transition from spin move to shot looked smoother than it did last year. I'm not worried about him making shots right now. Get the rhythm right and that will have him in better control to make the shot in the end.

He still looks like he shrugs or something during his jumper, so that's not good.

Yeah that video doesn't give me a lot of faith for the season. Howard's form just seems off on those shots and without Parsons we need everyone to step on O.

What makes me feel a better though is that Howard's D looks good as ever and Beverly still looks like a Junkyard Dawg.
